Hi! I’m Cristina — a former journalist, current marketing consultant, and a curious soul building a new life in amazing Barcelona.

I began my career as a business and lifestyle journalist, writing stories, meeting inspiring people, and discovering new places. It was everything I dreamed of — until life evolved, as it does.

In 2011, I moved to Luxembourg, where I began focusing on a new dream - building a career in marketing, my first love. For a while, I managed to do both — writing and marketing — but after becoming a mom to two wonderful girls and tackling the challenge of learning French (an adventure on its own!), I had to press pause on my writing.

Fast forward to 2022 - we moved to Barcelona, and something shifted. This city reawakened my curiosity, creativity, and love for storytelling. With the girls now more independent (they’re 10 and 8), I found myself ready to return to writing — this time, blending it with my work in marketing.

I created Nesting in Barcelona as a space to explore and share what lights me up - stories of everyday life, family, culture, food, design, and the magic of creating a new live. I work in marketing for a construction company (because yes, I’m obsessed with homes and how people build their lives), and I never stop thinking — or talking — about food.

This space is for anyone who's ever tried to balance family life, personal growth, and a career while starting fresh in a new city. It’s a journey of curiosity, creativity, and connection.
