Why Nesting in Barcelona?

Writing has always been part of who I am. I started out as a business and lifestyle journalist in Romania, living the dream — meeting incredible people, exploring new places, and telling the stories that inspired me.

When I moved to Luxembourg in 2012, a new dream began to take shape - building a career in marketing — my first love. For a while, I juggled both worlds, but then life happened. I had my two beautiful girls. I had to learn French (which, let’s be honest, is a full-time job in itself). And eventually, I had to let go of journalism, focusing fully on marketing and motherhood.

Fast forward to 2022 - we moved to Barcelona. This vibrant, beautiful city sparked something in me — creativity, curiosity, and a renewed desire to discover and share stories again. With the girls now more independent (they’re 10 and 8), my French finally fluent (yay!), and a few more hours in my day, I felt ready to bring writing back into my life alongside my marketing work.

I’ve always loved talking to people and hearing their stories. I adore lazy beach days reading under an umbrella. I’m fascinated by how others live — which might explain why I now do marketing for a construction company (yes, I found a way to fuel that obsession). And don’t even get me started on food — it’s a serious topic in our house.

Nesting in Barcelona is a place where I get to be curious, creative, and connected. It’s a space to share my experiences as a mom, a marketer, and a newcomer (well, kind of!) to this endlessly inspiring city.
